Axial projection of an abdominopelvic contrast-enhanced CT in a venous phase displays the kidney “inverse rim sign”, characteristic of acute renal cortical necrosis. Other findings such as a partially thrombosed aneurysm, a hepatic infarction focus and a hypodense thickening of the colonic wall, consistent with colitis, are demonstrated.
