Conventional X-ray of the ankle, mortise view. Oblique fracture in the distal tibial epiphysis and passing through the growth plate. Notice the slight physeal broadening (arrows) and the subtle osseous rarefaction on the lateral aspect of the tibial metaphysis, suspicious of transphyseal extension of the fracture in keeping with a Salter–Harris fracture type III.

Initial axial (a) and coronal (b) contrast CT of abdomen and pelvis. Show avulsion of the right renal artery (black arrow), with evidence of small contrast extravasation (yellow arrowhead) and significant retroperitoneal haematoma (red arrowhead) causing significant anterior displacement of the right kidney. Additionally, there is liver injury with significant perihepatic and retroperitoneal haemorrhage.
