    A deep fluid collection, consistent with haemorrhage, is appreciable on the left side of the neck; an extravasation of the contrast medium (*) from the left common carotid artery (►) is also appreciable.

    Tiny rupture of the anterior wall of the left common carotid with an extravasation of the contrast medium; the internal and external carotid arteries are normal.

    Complete restitutio ad integrum of the left common carotid artery and reabsorption of the neck haemorrhage. These findings were confirmed also with ultrasonography (not shown).
