  • Figure 1
    Ultrasound of the scrotum

    Ultrasound of the scrotum showed bilateral testes having normal size, echotexture and vascularity.

    Area of Interest: Genital / Reproductive system male; Imaging Technique: Ultrasound; Procedure: Diagnostic procedure; Special Focus: Inflammation;

    A non-vascular lesion measuring 15x12 mm was noted indenting the lateral aspect of the right epididymal head with a whorled appearance and central calcific focus giving it a "target" or "bulls eye" appearance.

    Area of Interest: Genital / Reproductive system male; Imaging Technique: Ultrasound; Procedure: Diagnostic procedure; Special Focus: Inflammation;

    The lesion showing a whorled appearance with a central echogenic focus suggestive of calcification.

  • Figure 2
    MRI of scrotum

    MR axial T1 weighted image showed an isointense lesion (blue arrow) adjacent to the right epididymal head with a central hypointense focus.

    Area of Interest: Genital / Reproductive system male; Imaging Technique: MR; Procedure: Diagnostic procedure; Special Focus: Inflammation;

    MR axial T2 weighted image showed a hypointense lesion (blue arrow) adjacent to the right epididymal head with a central hypointense focus.

    Area of Interest: Genital / Reproductive system male; Imaging Technique: MR; Procedure: Diagnostic procedure; Special Focus: Inflammation;

    MR coronal T2- STIR image showed a hypointense lesion adjacent to the right epididymal head with a central hypointense focus.

    Area of Interest: Genital / Reproductive system male; Imaging Technique: MR; Procedure: Diagnostic procedure; Special Focus: Inflammation;

  • Figure 3
    Excision of the right extra-testicular lesion

    The patient underwent excisional biopsy of the extra-testicular cyst.

    Area of Interest: Genital / Reproductive system male; Imaging Technique: Experimental; Procedure: Surgery; Special Focus: Inflammation;

    The patient underwent excisional biopsy of the extra-testicular cyst.

    Area of Interest: Genital / Reproductive system male; Imaging Technique: Experimental; Procedure: Surgery; Special Focus: Inflammation;

    The excised specimen.
