    T2W MRI
     

    A large T2W hypointense fibroid is seen arising from anterior wall of uterus. Another hyperintense lesion (black arrow) is noted within the posterior wall. The endometrium (white arrow) is noted between these lesions.

    The T2W hyperintense lesion in posterior wall of uterus appears well defined and shows T2W hypointense internal septations. The fibroid in the anterior wall is also seen.

    Coronal image shows the T2W hyperintense lesion with internal septations and a few hypointense areas along its medial border (arrow)within the myometrium. A part of the fibroid is also seen in this section.

    Sagittal image shows the well defined T2W hyperintense lesion with a hypointense band (arrow) along its superior aspect. Thin hypointense septations are also seen within this lesion.

    The T2W hyperintense lesion in the posterior wall of the uterus also shows T1W hyperintense signal. Hypointense septations are also seen within the lesion. The large fibroid appears hypointense.

    T1W fat saturated MRI

    The signal within the lesion in the posterior wall of uterus appears predominantly suppressed confirming fat content. The septations are not suppressed. An area of haemorrhage (arrow) is noted within the large fibroid.
